Health Tips - vitamin B12 supplementation

Vegetarians should remember to eat foods that contain nonheme iron (vegetables, cereals and grains) with health foods that contain vitamin C (see P.70) for maximum absorption. Strict vegans should speak with their physician about the possible need for health vitamin B12 supplementation, since prepackaged foods aren’t routinely fortified with this vitamin.
