Strict vegans may get some vitamin B12 from plant foods, but only if these foods are contaminated by bacteria and fungi since these microorganisms produce vitamin B12 UN washed vegetables contaminated by organic fertilizer also contain some health vitamin B12.
Since many plant foods contain minute amounts of bacteria and fungi (normally nowhere near enough to harm health), a vegan still has a chance of getting some vitamin B12 from food.
